Wisconsin's farms and agricultural businesses generate more than $59.6 billion in economic activity and provide jobs for 353,991 people.  New research from University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW-Extension shows how important agriculture is to the state's economy.

NOTE: This version was corrected on April 29, 2011 to reflect the following updates:

1. The map titled Agricultural Impacts on Income (M$) previously showed Portage County as the top county for income (M$); that is incorrect. The number has been corrected in Table 3 on page 17 and this map reflects that change.

2. Three corrections were made to Table 3 on pages 16-17
(1) Crawford County: the percent of Income was changed from 5.3 to 9.0
(2) Grant County: the percent of Income was changed from 14.0 to 21.8
(3) Portage County: Income (M$) was changed from 2,801 to 339
